According to the Minister of Finance, the Government has set the retail price of RON95 petrol at RM3.87 per litre, RON97 petrol at RM4.95 per litre, and diesel (B10/B20) in Peninsular Malaysia at RM6.02 per litre for the period from 2 Apr to 8 Apr 2026.

Compared to last week: RON95 remains unchanged; RON97 decreased by RM0.20; Diesel (Peninsular) increased by RM0.50; Diesel (East Malaysia) remains unchanged.

The Government stated that it will continue to monitor market developments and adjust the retail prices of RON95, RON97, and diesel based on global oil market fluctuations, whilst supporting price stability.

In addition, the Government continues to provide fuel subsidies under the BUDI MADANI (BUDI95) programme, where eligible recipients enjoy a subsidised price of RM1.99 per litre for RON95 petrol. The monthly quota is temporarily set at 200 litres per month.

Therefore, based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, the retail prices of petroleum products from 2 Apr to 8 Apr 2026 are fixed as follows:

  • The retail price of RON95 petrol is set at RM3.87 per litre;
  • The retail price of RON97 petrol is set at RM4.95 per litre;
  • The retail price of diesel (B10/B20) in Peninsular Malaysia is set at RM6.02 per litre; and
  • The retail price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan remains at RM2.15 per litre.
